🕊️ 30th JANUARY · SCHOOL DAY FOR NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE UBI 3
Today we celebrate the School Day for Non-Violence and Peace. We are going to work with Malala Yousafzai, the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
Why January 30th?
This date remembers the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi (1948). It reminds us that peace is built with respect, equality and rights. One key right is education: being able to go to school and learn.
Who is Malala?
Malala Yousafzai is a young Pakistani activist who was attacked by the Taliban at the age of 15 for defending girls’ right to education. With her words, she became a global voice for equality and peace.
