Welcome back!
A new course, new conversations and new challenges.
Welcome to another year of learning English together. This year, we want to communicate in English with more confidence.
You don't need perfect grammar or a perfect accent. Making mistakes is part of learning. What matters is trying, listening and taking part.
01 · Our mission today
Today, we will read the instructions together. A different student can read each part aloud. Everyone else listens. Then, let's explain what we have to do — in English if possible!
Today, we're going to...
- Read and listen to English.
- Ask and answer questions.
- Learn interesting things about our classmates.
- Try to speak English as much as possible.
- Enjoy using English without worrying about mistakes.
02 · Your English survival kit
Sometimes we know what we want to say, but we can't find the words. These expressions will help us keep talking.
Let's practise! Read a short dialogue
A: What's your favourite season?
B: That's a good question! Let me think...
B: I think it's spring.
A: Really? Why?
B: Because I love sunny days. What about you?
A: I prefer autumn.
Read it with a partner. Can you change the answers?
03 · Let's warm up!
Before our main challenge, let's start with three questions.
Need some ideas? Open this help
I'm feeling ... because ...
My summer was ... I went to ...
I'd like to improve my speaking / listening / vocabulary.
I'd like to feel more confident when I speak English.
04 · The Conversation Machine
It's time for our first big speaking challenge! We never know which question will appear next.
How does it work?
- One student clicks Another question.
- A new question appears. Read it aloud.
- Another student answers. Try to use complete sentences.
- Click Need help? if you don't know how to begin.
- Click Tell me more! to discover another question and continue the conversation.
- Invite someone else to speak: What about you?
- When you're ready, choose another question!
The Conversation Machine
One click. One question. A new conversation.
05 · Find someone who...
We've spoken as a group. Now let's discover something new about our classmates!
Your mission
- Take your Find someone who... worksheet and a pen.
- Read the eight descriptions.
- Talk to different classmates and ask questions in English.
- If someone says yes, ask one more question.
- Write that classmate's name on your worksheet.
- Try not to write the same person's name more than twice.
Remember: The goal isn't to finish first. The goal is to have conversations!

Let's share our discoveries!
Tell us one interesting thing you discovered about a classmate. For example:
María loves travelling. She has visited Italy.
Antonio enjoys cooking. His favourite dish is paella.
Carmen prefers winter because she doesn't like hot weather.
One last question!
How did you feel speaking English today?
Was it easy? Difficult? Fun? Did you learn something new about someone in class?
Every conversation, even a short one, helps you improve.
That's all for now!
Keep practising, keep asking questions and don't be afraid to speak English.
